Fjodor de Lange started his career in the media, as a volunteer for the independent video press-agency 'Small World'. His first big job was filming the Amsterdam EU summit of 1997 for the tv program 'MiddagEditie'. Later that year he produced a documentary concerning the Euro summit which was shown on the German art event 'Documenta'.
With help from a couple friends, he set up the Amsterdam squatters TV station 'Free Keyser TV' again . In 1998, the NOB was looking for camera operators so he started working for TV programs like 'Big Brother', 'the Bus' and 'StarAcademy'.
When filming for weeks on location for 'the Bus' he met his second cousin Harm Jan Snijder, who was working on the program as a video editor. Almost immeditaly they started making films together. Fjodor trained hard and passed rapidly through the NOB training programme and became an allround cameraman. In 2003 he joined the independent camera collective 'The Freelancers' in Hilversum.

Harm Jan Snijder (a.k.a. videopunx)
Harm Jan Snijder has worked as an online video editor for Dutch national television since 1995. He was trained as (TV) journalist at the Aacademy of Journalism in Kampen and as a TV director/Film-Video editor at the Netherlands Film and Television Academy in Amsterdam. He has been producing, filming and editing his own video productions since 1988. Harm Jan also writes articles on filming and editing for a monthly magazine called 'Zoom.NL'. His alias is videopunx wich says all about his attitude towards his body of work.
